If you've been playing Homescapes, the popular mobile matching game, you may be looking for ways to get through the levels, particularly the more challenging ones later in the game. While there are no cheat codes available for Homescapes, there are still some tips and strategies that can help you progress through the game and restore the house.

In the game, you play as Austin, who is trying to save his family's old home from being sold. To do this, you must solve match-three puzzles, earn stars, and redecorate the entire house. It can be a challenging task, but with some helpful tips and fast fingers, you can successfully decorate the house and achieve your goal. Check out our Homescapes tips and tricks below for some assistance.

    Tips for Starting Strong

Before you make any moves, it's important to take a moment to carefully assess the board. You may find that there are more efficient options available.

While the specific blocks that appear on each level are random, the starting positions are not. When you begin a level, try to find a spot where you can set off a chain reaction.

It's often possible to start a level with a special block or a large chain. Just take some time to look for the best starting point.

    Maximizing Your Progress

While matching three blocks is a necessary step in the game, it's not always the most efficient way to make progress. To really speed things up, try combining multiple blocks to create special blocks.

For example, a row of four blocks can create a Rocket that clears a row either horizontally or vertically. Four blocks in a group create a Paper Plane, five create a Bomb, and a row of five creates a Disco Ball.

You can also combine these special blocks for even more powerful effects. For example, a Rocket and a Bomb can create a multi-row Rocket, and combining a Bomb and a Paper Plane will cause the Paper Plane to explode.

    Effective Use of Rockets

Rockets can be extremely helpful special blocks in Homescapes, as long as you know how to use them. They are particularly useful on levels with jelly or boxes to clear, as they can wipe out an entire row quickly.

Remember that you can slide a Rocket onto the next row and it will only activate once it is in a new row. This allows you to carefully position the Rocket and clear out multiple objectives at once.

    Placing Carpet

Some levels in Homescapes require you to cover the background with carpet. This can be a bit tricky at first, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it.

Keep in mind that simply clearing blocks is not enough to create new carpet. At least one of the blocks that is cleared must already be on carpet. In these levels, it's important to avoid clearing random rows of three blocks if they are not touching carpet.

Bombs, Paper Planes, and Rockets can all help spread carpet, but they must first touch an existing carpet square.

    Customizing the House Decor

If you're not satisfied with the decor you've chosen for Austin's parents' house, you can easily make changes at any time by spending a few coins. Simply hold your finger over an object in the house that you'd like to change and you'll be presented with new options for that object.

It's important to keep in mind that the objects in the house don't have a significant impact on the overall game, but it's still important to make sure Austin's parents are happy with the decor. Ultimately, the most important thing is that you're satisfied with the way you've decorated the house.
